I begin the New Year by hopping a plane to Canada at the last minute.
I will be there until the 6th and I'll be back that night.
Here is hoping 2009 will be better then 2008.

Heya All. Dropping a line and letting ya'll know my cell phone has been canceled due to it being to expensive and my being laid off from Paizo a month ago. (Still doing tours and on Unemployment so over all I'm fine, just hermiting)
I, do however, have a skype number ans I'm using my Mac as my phone. This means I will not be as accessible, but will be much easier on my bank account cutting phone charges from $80 - $130 to $3.
My Skype Number is as Follows:
206-973-7955
Please call this number or e-mail to reach me.

Please don't let us down, Mr Obama. We believe in you. Please don't break our hearts.
And let us, as people, not let our nation down. Let us not let *him* down.

Spanyrd, D, and I are going shooting. It is good.
My Home Mac, Patches, is sick / perhaps completely dead. I will do my best to send e-mails from work as time / work load allows, so if you send me something, please be aware that I probably won't be able to get to it unless I'm at work.
That is all.
Edit: I will totally take recommendations on new options and if anyone knows any deals on Macs, let me know!

I can post this now! Yay!
This is the Character Description I gave for the Art we gave to Ann and Mike. I started writing a basic thing and it turned into this. Any errors are due to Cut and paste and lack of editing time.

<lj-cut="Description Fic">“Go over it once again. Very slowly now. Take as much time as you need. What did he look like? How did he act. Describe him. The more you can give us, the better we will be able to help you.”
The voice came, soothing and raspy, out of the darkness of the tiny room. All the young man could see was the light over the steel table where he sat. The young man shook again and recalled the terrible day.
It was a good day. A hopeful day. His very first day on the job at Yoshida’s, one of the highest end restaurants in Tokyo. He has studied three languages just for the opportunity to work here. His grades were impeccable. His manner, perfect. His outlook, bright.
Then he came.
The restaurant was an exceptionally traditional place specializing in historical accuracy and feel. The price one paid for experiencing such perfection was appropriately high. People saved up for years just to taste one of the appetizers. It was a place one came to feel like a king. The waitresses were all beautiful and learned in the ways of the shamisen and the art of conversation. Their smiles could make a man melt. The chefs were all world class and had studied nothing but traditional Japanese food stuffs. Their food could make a man weep. The ingredients were of the best the Sea of Japan had to offer. Their reputation could make a man envy. And here the young man was. The host. At the center of it all. The perfect cog in a perfect machine of service and grace.
He could not have known. How could he have known?
The boy entered, no, flowed, in to the restaurant as if he were a god. The greeter at the door smiled at him. Her smile, trained and practiced, was like a hammer against the stresses of the outside world while at the same time the shield she put forth so she might do her job with appropriate grace and dispassionate distance. This boy, who could be no more then fifteen, smiled back and her shield, her hammer, shattered into so much glitter and dust. He saw her falter. He saw her blush.
He could not have been more then a fifteen years of age but he held himself as if he were timeless. The suit he wore seemed fit him perfectly. The high collar of the jet black half coat he wore buttoned around him like armor, gave him the air of a priest. His matching pants just touching the tops of his perfect, shiny shoes. His outfit was, on the whole, immaculate. However, it was his face, his intensity, that over took all attention. His long onyx hair flowed down his back like the river Styx. His high cheek bones and thick expressive eyebrows gave him an air or regality. His darker complexion hinted at something exotic mixed with his Japanese lineage. But it was his gaze that stood above all. This boy did not look. This boy did not even think of something so low as a glance. His gaze brought you in and made you his own. His gaze contained a will so immense it could have shouldered the world. It was a gaze that could have brought gods low.
The young man shook himself out of his reverie.
“It all went downhill from there. I thought he had walked in from Akihibara or something and was trying to prove something by walking in to Yoshida’s. I made a terrible mistake.”, the host called out to the darkness
“What was that mistake?”, the darkness replied
The young man began to talk very fast as he recalled his horrible error, “I called him a cosplayer and said his outfit was well put together and did his mother or sister help him make it. I… I showed him a menu, it doesn’t have prices on it, and told him it would be far too expensive for him to eat here. I was humoring him, you see. It was then he showed me his card. Black, just like the rest of him. Solid metal too. Do you know what it takes to get a card like that? I immediately tried to recover, but he said it was too late for that. Far too late. He made a phone call. Just a quick, single phone call, couldn’t have lasted more then ten seconds. Then he stood there. Perfectly calm. Still as a statue. Waiting. The line at the door was growing longer but no one said a word. It was dead quiet. Everything just stopped. After a minute he told me I should be receiving a fax. Just as he said it one came through informing me that this boy… this child… was the new owner of Yoshida’s and I was fired. I found out later that the boy had deposited a very large sum of money in my bank account with a hand delivered note of apology. He said his sister made him apologize and would I forgive him for being… er… this doesn’t translate well…”
“English is fine.”, the darkness intoned
“Er… it said… meanie.”, the young man said, “So is that all? I’m not mad actually. I can retire and everything. My girlfriend wants to get married right away. Can I go?”
“You may go.”
“Thank you.” The young man looked around at the darkness outside the light. The hairs on the back of his neck began to stand on end and he heard a sharp crack. Then darkness was all he saw.
“It is him.”, the darkness said to itself. “Make the preparations.”</lj-cut>

Marketing. Non-discloser agreement. Nerf guns. Meetings. Cool people. Free stuff.
Good first day.
Good first day.
Sorry for the short notice. Hobbling this together at the last minute.
This Saturday the 5th of April we meet for My birthday at Fado on 1st Ave, near Pioneer Square at 6pm. There we drink with a good number of the Utilikilts crew and Myself.
Please call and let me know if you can make it or just RSVP here... or just show up. I imagine we are going to be taking over the whole bar and then taking off from there.

D and I get our crap worked out to a stable point and have plans for future that involve going separate ways. Things between us stabilize. This leads me to work hardcore on getting the job at Piazo and landing an Audition with the Underground Tour to be a tour Guide on nights and weekends. Xbox 360 breaks again. Hand in two week notice being Maintenance Supervisor at the Lowman Building. Current Boss does not handle resignation well as it will lead to more work for him and having to get used to a new guy. I am working my ass off to make sure New Guy has all the crap he needs and Current Boss does not freak out. First Girlfriend Ever raises out of the depths of facebook and gets in touch. I find out she spent a year in Tiawan Teaching ESL (English as a Second Language), Took Belly Dancing, and Plays World of Warcraft. I remember how we broke up and have been dealing with the guilt of that as it decided to bite me on the ass for no good reason as I thought that case was closed.. I thwart a major robbery. Crystal Meth and a Gun are found on some of the items they dropped. I make peace with the owner of Utilikilts and have a meeting with them about business later this week. I am making plans to go to Portland to Visit good friends. I am doing my taxes by myself for the first time. The Girl From New Paltz best friend Rises up out of the Depths of facebook and contacts me. More old feelings surface. I have a birthday coming up next week. I am talking with the First Girlfriend Ever on Skype on Sunday.
All of this happened in the past week.
I'm tired. Very tired.
However, I consider this is all good stuff as it means my life is climbing to the next plateau. Its just how my life works.
I need to go hiking or something.

To all who watch "Dancing with the Stars". I mean all. Everyone who gets the channel.
You voteed Steve Gutenburg off of the show. For this I will hate you forever.
Viva La Gute!
(D got me hooked on the show. It is a very very guilty pleasure.)

As of this moment, your Jack Grimm, has a new job.
The Job was offered and accepted at a fair rate.
I am now working for Paizo.com as the Online Retail Coordinator. I am now working in the gaming industry.
Next step is an Audition next month for a part time job to supplement income.
Long hours, little pay, I know. But for now. For now I revel. I revel.

I applied today for another job. I sent my resume and cover letter off this dark night. And so too go my hopes and dreams for a brighter future.
Or at least one where I don't need to clean up so much poop.

I am starting the show Lost this evening. I have tea. I have a bottle of wine.
May the Gods have mercy on my soul.
May the Gods have mercy on my soul.
Life has been full of events for me recently.
All recent events have been rather large. Some even Epic.
Both positive and negative or neutral enough where all of the scales are pretty balanced with positive eking ahead of all others because I choose to look at it that way. I'm an optimist most times. This is one of them.
All in all, events as of late (meaning the past 6 months or so) have caused this to be my life when out in public. http://xkcd.com/337/ Complete with iPod thanks to an early B-Day present.
More to come hopefully.
